NVOCC Services in India – Chennai, Mumbai & Bangalore
NVOCC Services
An NVOCC (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier) books container space with shipping lines and issues its own House Bill of Lading to you, acting as your carrier without owning ships. For exporters and importers, this means better ocean freight rates, more sailing options and one point of contact from pickup to delivery.
PAS Freight Services Pvt Ltd is an AEO-certified NVOCC and sea freight forwarder with HO in Bengaluru and branches in Chennai, Mumbai, Delhi and Hyderabad. We handle FCL and LCL shipments from Chennai Port, Nhava Sheva (JNPT) and other major Indian ports, with customs clearance and door delivery included.

NVOCC FAQs
What does an NVOCC do?
An NVOCC (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier) books container space with shipping lines, issues its own House Bill of Lading and takes responsibility for your cargo without owning the ships. PAS Freight manages all coordination with the vessel operators on your behalf.
What is the difference between an NVOCC and a freight forwarder?
A freight forwarder arranges transport on your behalf, while an NVOCC acts as the carrier and issues its own Bill of Lading. PAS Freight works as both, giving you carrier-level control with full forwarding support.
What is a House Bill of Lading (HBL)?
An HBL is the Bill of Lading issued by the NVOCC to the shipper. It covers your cargo, while the shipping line issues a Master Bill of Lading (MBL) to the NVOCC for the full container.
Which container types do you offer?
We offer 20ft, 40ft and 40ft High Cube containers for FCL shipments, plus LCL for smaller loads. Contact us for special equipment requirements.
Which Indian ports do you ship from?
We ship from major Indian ports including Chennai Port, Kamarajar (Ennore) and Nhava Sheva (JNPT), with service from our HO in Bengaluru and branches in Chennai, Mumbai, Delhi and Hyderabad.
